A few supporting points so that you'll stay on this right path: If you need religion to give you a sense of moral values that is kinda sad. How does it work when our actions are based upon fear of eternal punishment and hope of salvation in a mythical afterlife? The whole concept of religious faith is a cop-out. By taking something by faith, you are admitting it's an idea that can't stand on it's own evidence. Seeking meaning in life through religion is whole-heartedly stupid. If you need a God (no matter how logically absurd) to tell you who you are, you've got problems of your own. Athiests (me) know that there's no greater "point" to the universe; there's no supreme being serving punishment and judgement. We create our own ideas of fulfillment and morality, of purpose and of judgement. We do not need them handed down from a relgious text. In the words of a great blogger, Steven den Beste, "There's a rare beauty associated with athiesm: I don't need a god to tell me I'm special." The purpose of religion is to fit humans into a hierarchical structure subordinate to a supreme being. People feel more comforatable forced into a certain placement within society, placed somewhere that they know as "their place." Is this the way you want to be, or do you want to create your own placement, subordinate to no being, with your own morality? I've got more at home if you want them. Good choice. Remember that religion is an outdated view on life that may have been helpful during the middle ages, but in today's world of truth no longer fits in. May the Force be with you (sorry)!
