Well they havn't slaughtered millions maybe throusands (tens of). And scientific opinion is that it doesn't affect sheep (so far that is!). Whats bad is it takes a long time to show up in cattle that are affected, and if you eat an animal which was infected and hasn't had all the contaminated meat (offal - spinal cord; brains etc) removed, there is a chance you can get the human form known as CJD - Croytsfelt Jacob Disease (not spelt correctly!). Currently no known cure. Generally 1 year to live from diagnosis.:(( Its not nice, for all I know I might be the next victim!:eek: But it looks like they have the problme in cattle under control (maybe)! Just my 2 cents worth. I know this is a free rant forum, but is it always so strong? Or is it my UK influenced level of outrage at some of the things here that makes me feel...well aghast?

OPM are a band from the US. If you have listened to any radio station or music video program on TV in the last several weeks you must have heard Heaven is a Halfpipe. Even if you didn't know that is what the song is called. The album is an eclectic mix of music varieties all sung by the one band and I believe them to be original tracks. Correct me if I am wrong but Falafel's are an ISRAELI thing, right? No, felafel is a generic Arab food, not linked to any one country I believe. I think of them as a vegetarian meat ball. My wifes family is a mixture of many nationalities from around the Mediterranean, though they were all born and raised in Egypt.
