The exact format of a relocatable module depends on the system. There are almost no similarity between VAX/VMS and UNIX for SPARC, for example.. If you are running this on a Unix box, you might want to do a 'man a.out' to get information on the structure. Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't help you. I have only done a little ELF, and only system 5/SPARC.. /moliate

Enough with laws! We've got too damned many as it is:mad: Refuse to do business with companies who host such garbage on their websites, and make sure you let everyone know who the offenders are, then let nature take its course. I was one of the first to jump on those handy X-10 devices, and was looking forward to completing the set. But I refuse to do business with them because of their advertising practices. I'll extend the same treatment to any company that allows the BonzaiBuddy clickthru on their website!

Nish [BusterBoy] wrote: [[ Colin Wrote :- Did you like him ? ]] The quote text works for me but Simon reported earlier that it didn't work for him also. I guess why some of us westerners like Gandhi chap, was that he organised India into embarrassing Britain into giving India independence. I disagree with you in most of the points you have raised Nish. I won't bother to elaborate because we will still continue to disagree even though I am right and you are wrong, and so it won't prove anything and just start a flame war. Paul Watson wrote: Do you sell it as a product or have any demos I can take a look at? Unfortunately no. It was a job I worked on while in R&D for a web developer. The product is still in use, but as an intranet, so its a bit hard to show you. What you said about not losing skills is very true. We had the opposite situation, where we wanted to allow people to alter the content without knowing ASP. -- David Wengier

James T. Johnson wrote: Hope today is better Today (yesterday) was better, thankfully, as finally got everything set up correctly and saved it. The first thing I did was to remove the offending lines from the main program before I forgot. Today (today) was not much better. I've just spent three hours rebuilding my home PDC componenet by component to track down something that was faulty (rant: dammit - why does the machine have to talk in meaninless streams of beeps? You'd think in today's world they'd at least use some form of speech synthesis - "Good morning David. I'm afraid the fan on the graphics card needs unblocking again. Maybe you should consider getting a better system fan?"). After paintstakingly replacing everying as it was originally, it started up first time. If I were sitting at my desk I would have lowered my head and cried like a baby again. I've been doing a lot of that recently - I've just given up fighting with it. I'd add "Hardware manufacturers" to my hate list if they didn't supply my livelihood. Then again, I'd add "users" and "bank managers" too... ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "DON'T MOVE!
