I have only tested the compiler speed on a single project. It was a rather large one, just about 200.000 lines. It was an typical MFC application. Hi Paul, not what I want to do: I need to turn off the *help* compiler for a project, not remove a project from the build. Every time I do a build it attempts to compile an .HPJ help project on it's own and it will do so even if I remove all the help related files from the project, remove the help related files etc.

Problem solved. You have to install the .NET Server components which come on the VS install disks. *->>Always working on my game, teach me *->>something new. cout << "dav1d\n";

i'm not sure, but isn't there a subtree of the base-classes in the classview? there you should find the original of your function and use the context-menu to add an override in your child-class. at least, thats the way in C#, don't know about C++. :wq

is the correct header to use, is the old version which is still there for backwards compatibility. I believe this is the C++ standard, not a Microsoft decision. Dave.

There are many things you change to speed this up. One thing I can recommend is to disable the Start Page on Start up. This page contains dynamic. If you are connected to the internet it goes out and attempts to grab new information. Derek Smigelski
