I could be totally wrong, but as I understand it, web cameras do not follow any kind of standard as far as their code interface goes. Most of them need proprietary software to read images from them. The difficult we do right away... ...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Probably because some code changes the layout before loading. Unless you have code to reproduce what you see, we just be guessing. In the 2008 version, when I double click on a .vb file in the Solution Explorer (after opening a folder in Visual Studio with multiple files showing up in the Solution Explorer), the form would come up graphically. When I do the same in 2019, nothing happens. I'll try importing source files into a new project.

So I created a console app Hello World and tried to run. Got Access Denied - But then Trend Micro popped up a "Suspicious App" warning with "Open File" and "Delete File" links. I clicked Open and the console app ran. So I went back to my production app and did the same, and voila! It now runs. I've been using Trend for years and I really like it. This is the first time it's ever done anything like this. Must have been some kind of update the night before last. Thanks! If it's not broken, fix it until it is. Everything makes sense in someone's mind. Ya can't fix stupid.

Well, I couldn't get it to update the Views/web.config, so I gave up on that particular aspect. The whole point of running it inside Visual Studio is so that you can use debugging. If you just want the Release version then run it from Explorer or a command prompt instead
