Is it an ISA modem? Vista doesn't support ISA hardware. --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~! Ericahist | PimpFish | CP SearchBar v3.0 | C++ Forum FAQ Ford, what's this fish doing in my ear?

I should add that the way Microsoft has arranged things is that most of the new stuff has better developer support if using C# or VB .NET, than unmanaged (or even managed - C++/CLI) C++. Kevin

You need to buy a code signing certificate from a certificate authority, such as VeriSign or Comodo. (I'm not endorsing either one, just listing two names that come to mind.) --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~! ma se wrote: Will the Windows Vista replace the Windows 2003 Server system? Or is it just an improvement on Windows XP? No, Windows Vista is a client operating system. Windows Server Codename "Longhorn" is still under development; it's expected to be released towards the end of this year. Right now I wouldn't use Vista for web development. Vista includes IIS 7.0, which is in some ways quite a departure from previous versions. Is the Ultimate edition really worthwhile buying?? No. Well, if you want both the ability to join a domain and to use the system remotely, and the media centre functionality, then yes. Personally I don't have any need for Media Center, so Windows Vista Business is the right edition for me. Stability. What an interesting concept. -- Chris Maunder

Thanks! It's frustrating that they won't allow this directly. And hard to believe that they left a workaround.
