What would cause the US to collapse in future?

Yes sir... and the complete abandonment of the US Constitution since 1937, Thank you Roosevelt for forcing the New Deal through with threats of court stacking. Where is the association of states that have the power? Why is everything controlledc as "Regulating interstate commerce"? And go back to 1776 definitions of the words not the evolved meanings. Regulated means to make regular.

I believe there are no forever empire in the world, but what do you think would be the trigger that causes the collapse of US?
Some thoughts ... US Dollar is losing ground to other currencies. US Stock exchanges are under enormous pressure. Rising sea levels due to gradual vanishing ice caps. (New York flooded like Venice). San Andreas Fault causing Earthquake that destroys the American Semi-Conductor and Computing Industries. Caldera that is Yellowstone blows its top big-time.

For some things, yes. But their offices moved out of CA and into AZ, NM, OR, and WA for the most part. And many of the companies that jumped headlong into outsourcing are now realizing that some things can't be outsourced well without a huge drop in quality. Those freedoms were long since abolished. Lincoln (and the sitting Congress at the time) set the table for that when he decided that states were not free to leave the "Union", and the slope has gotten progressively more slippery ever since. There are still a ton of those jobs in NC (and Southern VA as well). Businesses moving is not necessarily a problem as it can help improve efficiency. The mass exodus from CA was largely due to the fact that it is next to impossible to make money when you are based in CA due to taxes, and the propensity for being sued. My point on this section of the thread was that an earthquake on the San Andreas falt would not shake the semiconductor/electronic industry since they are no longer there anyway. It would put the US in a disposition, for sure, but even worse, it would send many Middle East nations back to the Middle Ages.

I was introduced to Chai, like many in the USA, through Starbucks and its kin (actually a small town college coffee shop while working early AM shifts)... which is the best thing that can be said about it. Did you see Lawrence of Arabia? Without oil the middle east would again be a bunch of tribes running around on camels killing each other over water. My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"
