Ghosts...

Well that just sums up your intelligence right there. Save the smartass comments for someone who cares. Offer something real or shut up. Jeremy Falcon

Leave it to poeople like you that refuse to admit something because you can't explain it. You don't know it isn't anymore than than we know it is. Nevermind what the actual truth may be. Also, all I did was discredit your crap. If you can't think of anything better then being a smartass, then stop wasting my time. Jeremy Falcon

Out-of-focus dust is just a simple explanation for the mundane inexplicable phenomenon. I mean, there's a ghost explanation, and there's a lousy photographer explanation. I'm just advocating that the controversy be known. Obviously further study is warranted. :) -- modified at 15:12 Tuesday 6th June, 2006

Your example mentioned the flash as the reason. This obviously isn't the case with video cameras. And, from my own research from fliming them, they are nothing like dust. Do I fully believe they are ghost, no but they could be. Do I believe they dust particles, not at all. Jeremy Falcon

When you are conceived, where does that spark of life come from? Just the chemical reaction?
IMHO, yes, just the chemical reaction, and our consciousness is purely down to the massive complexity of the interconnections in the human brain. Just my opinion though!

conclusion: If ghost are real and we, as a human being, can see it without any strange artificial means, then, yes the camera should also work and you could take a picture of a ghost.
My understanding of it has been that it falls out of the spectrum of light that our eyes can see, but cameras can pick up. Like the infrared lights on remote controls for instance. Jeremy Falcon
If a ghost is infra red, then yes. Ppl wont see it and the camera will. But such "measurements" should be carefully taken, because a warm object also gives off infra red. There may even be a possiblity that a "ghost" could be seen in the ultra voilet region, which the eye also cannot detect. But one must be careful of a dust cloud, or something similar, doesn't scatter the ultravoilet and create something that could be mistaken for a ghost. I'm not an expert on what materials scatter ultravoilet, but I believe there should be a lot. The world of the beginner is not an easy one. But we do need them! BiTN

That was just an example. I don't think ghosts are that.

Can ghosts be photographed?
I dont know but i have heard reported cases of ghostly images caught on camera.
TechyMaila wrote:
how many of you believe in ghosts?
I try not to believe but i just can't find any sensable reason for any weird encounters or happenings. :~

I think ghost (if they do exists) are something that is created from the remaining mind power of the deceased. :suss:
:laugh:perhaps they can, it all depends on what type of film and less you are using. but if u can see it u can photograph it.. no 1 ever see a ghost, it puts what you think you are seeing in your head... you eyes have a limit of wavelength seen. and a ghost is very far in the line tyrohansen

Also just an example - I could have said any frequency. I'm working with x-rays. Maybe ghosts are x-rays? :-D The world of the beginner is not an easy one. But we do need them! BiTN

Hmm, that would explain why stuff looks white in them. Hmmm. Jeremy Falcon
