Ha ha. Yeah so free. You cant drink alcohol in parks and on beaches. You cant smoke dope legally. You cant buy drink in a mac donalds. Your women cant go topless on any beach they want. You have 11 holidays a year, as opposed to 22 here, plus a couple of weeks if your wife gives birth. We have free health care, and it is good. Actually in a separate poll (which I don't have handy), the US actually lead the world in an international poll for both quality and quantity of sex. So I guess your assumptions are wrong.

If we are, then it's because we have the freedom to be that way. Europe does not have that freedom. Where we see freedom as the ability to control our collective destiny, you see freedom as the general restriction to do that. That is the first indication of a society in decline.

On the other hand, the american spelling for similar words is smarter, because it conveys the actual pronounciation better than the british counterparts. Definately more foreigner friendly. ;)

Actually "evangelicals" as you see them represent a very small minority of Christian in this country. A Southern Baptist is not an "evangelical" as you see them. I've also known many protestants in my life (my grabdfather is a protestant preacher) and with the exception of one in college who said the pope has a stupid hat, I've never experienced anything but kindness from them. Being an American and pro-freedom, I whole-heartedly support religious people regardless of their religion (as long as they don't blow people up). That's quite different from Europe where such practice is generally frowned upon.
