Every part of it, starting from Gensis. Why did God even create the world in the first place, and have us suffer.

For His own pleasure. When you take a closer look at the world you will see the great beauty of His creation. But not for us to suffer. We have challenges and our limits, and He knows that too. He is our strength when we are weak. That is why He did everything to come back to us when He lost us.

The book of Gensis wasn't even written by one person, it is a collection of many stories written by many different authors.

Like us, I think Moses and the rest wanted to know what really happened and He revealed it to them as needed for them to write it as reference.

You mean somebody spinkle water on your head without your permission? Do not worry it is a big joke. I was too, when I was just three months old. It is nothing Biblical. Until, I found Jesus Christ the Savior I was like anyone else trying to survive on this earth. When I called it a quit, there was a family meeting, but my father could not command me to come back. Brother, you need to know Jesus Christ personally. I will I could tell you more, but I have to work. Please read this[^], I will get back to you soon.

It needs not be. You have reach the point most of us have. What you need is Jesus Christ not the Roman Catholic and its virgin Mary, they claim is full of grace. If you do not mind, you can write to me privately for an extended discussions; paulselormey@gmail.com. Best regards, Paul. Jesus Christ is LOVE! Why did God even create this world in the first place?? If God is so forgiveful and mercyful, why did He send us to Earth to suffer just because Eve and Adam ate an apple from a forbidden tree? Then He send His own son to die on cross for our sin? If our sin is no longer existed, why aren't we in Heaven now? The more I read the bible, the more it doesn't make sense. The more I pray, the more I suffer. Why... :(:sigh: I hate this world.

Reading a book and talking to yourself aren't necessarily going to make life any easier. I think the whole idea behind religion is that you are actually supposed to believe the concepts/tales involved. The belief is what comforts people, not just going through the dogmatic motions associated with the religion. :josh: My WPF Blog[^]

How do you go from being on top of the world dreaming of the beauty of women, to completely hating the world within such a short time period? Lighten up, man. Your going to be absolutely miserable for a long time if you don't find your sense of humor. I think it's going to be pretty tough to honestly try to get an understanding about something you hate. Just open your eyes, man. Take notice of what's going on around you and don't assume face value. If you want to pray, go for it, but don't expect for a second that anyone, God included, will give you anything for nothing. Also, accept that you won't find answers for everything when you're looking for them. Life works on its own timeline, mostly you're just along for the ride. BW

It has nothing to do with prayer, it has nothing to do with a supreme being cursing you. You are your own worst enemy, you give your power over your own life to others and then complain when it doesn't work out. He meant that a lot of people are unhappy because they surround themselves with themselves. And arranging one's life so that it only includes oneself is vain.

Who are you, and what have you done, that such a thing should be revealed to you? Be content with what you have been given, especially with your ability to learn - put it to use, and see what you can find.

erm... soapbox ? In answer tho - it's not true that we all suffer for Adam and Eve, and Jesus died so that you have a choice to 'go to heaven' ( actually, there's no heaven, either - that's another story ). What you do with that, is up to you. Did some woman leave you, or have you met a woman who is religious ? Either way, I suggest reading the gospels ( Matthew/Mark/Luke/John ) before reading any thing else in the Bible.

Every part of it, starting from Genesis. Why did God even create the world in the first place, and have us suffer. The book of Genesis wasn't even written by one person, it is a collection of many stories written by many different authors.

I was baptized when I was born, I go to church almost every sunday since I was a little boy, I was educated in Catholic school, I pray every night before I sleep. Still not his child? Then no one will be. Everyone I know who don't go to church or believe in God have a better life than me.

                                      Because He could.

God doesn't make anyone suffer. But, suffering is inevitable, and without it, there would not be joy.

Can you prove that ? I thought Moses wrote all of the first five books. Either way, I could care less who wrote it, what does that prove ?

I'm afraid that means nothing. Infant 'baptism' has no basis in the Bible.

So do a lot of people, many of them are no different for it.

Apart from anything else I might say about this, this was plainly not something you chose, so how can it represent a step you took towards God ?

You're looking in the wrong places for God, and completely underestimating Him.

Everyone has hard times. Have you read the book of Job ? Read it again and imagine it's *actually* happening to YOU and not just words on a page. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ Metal Musings - Rex and my new metal blog
