I hate this world.

How do you go from being on top of the world dreaming of the beauty of women, to completely hating the world within such a short time period? Lighten up, man. Your going to be absolutely miserable for a long time if you don't find your sense of humor. I think it's going to be pretty tough to honestly try to get an understanding about something you hate. Just open your eyes, man. Take notice of what's going on around you and don't assume face value. If you want to pray, go for it, but don't expect for a second that anyone, God included, will give you anything for nothing. Also, accept that you won't find answers for everything when you're looking for them. Life works on its own timeline, mostly you're just along for the ride. BW

Why did God even create this world in the first place?? If God is so forgiveful and mercyful, why did He send us to Earth to suffer just because Eve and Adam ate an apple from a forbidden tree? Then He send His own son to die on cross for our sin? If our sin is no longer existed, why aren't we in Heaven now? The more I read the bible, the more it doesn't make sense. erm... soapbox ? In answer tho - it's not true that we all suffer for Adam and Eve, and Jesus died so that you have a choice to 'go to heaven' ( actually, there's no heaven, either - that's another story ). What you do with that, is up to you. Did some woman leave you, or have you met a woman who is religious ? Either way, I suggest reading the gospels ( Matthew/Mark/Luke/John ) before reading any thing else in the Bible.

The problem is you don't love your self, There is a wonderful vibrant world to be discovered out there, but first you have to be happy with yourself first. If you aren't happy with yourself and who you are, then even the most beautiful sunny day can feel like the darkest storm. For those who believe, the most important thing is to remember that 'God' only takes care of the things that we can't handle ourselves. So concentrate on the everyday things and let the 'Universe' worry about the rest. For those who don't believe, well we just get on the best we can. Safe in the knowledge, that this is the only chance we get, so we try and make it the best one we can. Life is wonderful and fantastic but you've got to put some effort into it. If you're trying to understand your Faith and your relationship with God, my advice would be to first read the Gospels and Acts. The basic premise of Christianity is faith. A simple belief in God, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for our sins. Simple in theory, difficult in practise.

Nobody but God alone can answer that. Nobody knows how God thinks or why he does what he does. Most Christians generally accept that he created the earth for his pleasure. And who are we to question that? God is supreme; perfect. What he does is beyond reproach and is always right. God does not intend for us to suffer. He allows us to suffer the consequences of the choices that we make. To do anything else would not be love, and God is Love. He could prevent anything bad from happening to us, but then we would never grow; we would never become more mature, or learn to depend on Him only. He gives us the freedom to make our own decisions simply because He loves us. But having said that, he never allows us to destroy ourselves. Everything that happens to us is something we can cope with, provided we rely on Him for our strength. If we try to do everything by ourselves, we will fail. We have to say "Ok God. This one is yours. I can't do this by myself. I trust you to look after it", and then just get on with life and let Him do what He thinks is best. Trust me, it works. I came perilously close to suicide (less than 30mins) before I realised this, and that was only with the help of an awesome friend. God doesn't want us to suffer, but uses hardship to grow us and make us depend more on Him.

Actually, Genesis is a book of history, not stories, and was written by one person - Moses. He wrote the first five books of the Bible - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Numbers.
