Personally we've been using it for years for Ebay stuff mainly and I've never had an issue with it. I find it easy and convenient.

Yes. I also felt the same earlier.. When I received the reply from Paypal saying that they are not able to change my name, I feel not liking them. 1) I don't see any reason why they couldn't allow me to change my name. 2) I don't see any reason why the name from Paypal account and the name from Bank account should be matched. Normally, Bank Account Number is the important thing. Not name. Note: I'm using premium account so that I'm also paying some charges whenever I transfer my money... And also, I'm cool with that. Now, Like I said, they blocked me. I understand that they are protecting me from hackers or etc.. but I already phoned to them and I told them that I can come and show the required doc to their office. But they don't accept me. :( Another thing is that they don't tell me the exact reason why my account is being locked.

Wait, you're talking about taking business payments? I thought we were talking about personal use. Our company uses ShareIt, one of the zillion or so almost identical services all bought out by Digital River so I'm guessing if you went directly to Digital River's website and perused all the various payment services they now own you might find a good match for your business. DR bought pretty much every single independant payment processor over the last 10 years or so.

Paypal/eBay seems to have started some unit in Chennai, India. Just last week, while driving on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, I saw their huge office. And the employees' transportation services bus is fully airconditioned. They seem to give a princely treatment for their employees at the expense of customers.

What's so wrong in treating the employees good? And that is at the expense of customers? How do you say that? A customer pays them for their service and after the money is paid, it is no more the customer's money. It is paypal's money and they can do whatever they want to, with it. Taking care of the employees is a good thing IMHO.

Surely they must take good care of the customers too. I don't have a second thought about that. I've never used paypal and I probably won't after reading all this. But I think that taking care of the customers and taking care of the employees are not related in any way. One should simply not gripe about a company taking good care of their employees, no matter what. That was my point. :)

That happened to me too because of some EU regulations. I just sent them a copy of my ID card and a proof of my address, and that should be enough. Still waiting for a confirmation, though. I called their phone support (Italy) and they were, for once, kind and helpful.

I use Plimus. Slightly more expensive but very trouble free. Their e-mail support is fantastic and i've never had to call them up.

Customer First must be the mantra of any company. Any other thing should take the second or lesser priorities. If the company wants to survive, they should first learn to satisfy the customers and be grateful to them. They are the ultimate in writing the paycheck and indirectly helping out in the survival strategy of the company. It is the customer that decides whether the stone they lay for the company is going to be a foundation stone or a grave. :)

Otherwise, they will lose their valuable customers... What if I open new company that provide the service like paypal but with great customer support? :) they will be upset at that time. :)

Invalid argument! You work for an ISP. One day if my internet is down, can I make a comment like: "The company should not be paying their employees well. I am their customer and my internet is not working, but their employees are going by luxury cars! Their employees should live in a gutter!" Taking care of the customer is a different thing and taking care of employees is a different thing. They are just mutually exclusive. I am not supporting the argued poor service provided by paypal. But no matter what you do, you just can't make some customers happy. That doesn't mean I won't pay my employees well. Do you understand the analogy?

They would repent them and then do a herculean task to correct themselves and rise from the ashes. :) People don't seem to understand eye-care and annual eye-checks unless and until they get an ailment there.

By reading the discussion between us, this is what I am making out. Correct me if I'm wrong: "If a company fails to satisfy a few customers, their employees should not travel by a luxury bus." Is that your perception?
