Let me start of by saying I love this forum and the topics discussed in the lounge. And find some of the members here as great and interesting individuals (leckey your ok in my books, however based on what I read in your blog, I don't think I ever want to be near you in a cash out lineup...) My question is how the members frequent this site so much. I tried to keep up with the discussions in this forum and either my eyes started giving out, or I wasn't getting work done at work! How do you people do it, whats the secret? (I added the RSS feed to a blog reader and that kept me from missing topics but keeping up with the lounge is a full-time job!)

I used to have this problem, then I just had them install in IV coffee drip and I'm getting WAY more done these days. Course, the side-effect of random voices in my head can sometimes get in my way. What random voices? The ones you keep having! Who keeps having???!?! You! Me!?!? Yes! Who is that talking? Hey. You're right. Quiet, I think "they're" listening.

There are some open source random posts generators in the internet. I personally download one named “Deyan Georgiev v. 0.07”. It is decent small program with intuitive interface. You just need to chouse the level of your senesce of humor form 1 to 5, your IQ /1-220/ and to adjust the knowledge scale from junior up to super-puper – bombastic senior-developer-monster. After that, you need to attach the program to a Windows service and whenever you start your computer he starts to post in the Lounge. I set all of the options IQ, knowledge scale etc. to lowest possible level because of performance issues.

Well, my personal secret is that I type like the very devil... Its not easy. And really, when push comes to shove, I close the browser, get some work done and then when the dust has settled I come back basking in glory.

I hope you take care of your fingers as well. I was a great typist once upon a time. My problem was that when I wanted to type quickly, I pushed keys more, and now I get pain if I type for longer than one or two hours. I use two pencils now (at least my fingers get better) and miss working with 10 fingers.

                  1. I'm just not motivated enough to participate much anymore 1) A lot of the stuff that passes through the lounge is crap, and it's safe to ignore (everything except what I post of course) (I'm boycotting item #2 in all of my lists today) 3) The soapbox doesn't have the same appeal it used to have 4) When I do answer a post, it's mostly to see inf the univoter is still around

I hope you take care of your fingers as well. I was a great typist once upon a time. My problem was that when I wanted to type quickly, I pushed keys more, and now I get pain if I type for longer than one or two hours. I use two pencils now (at least my fingers get better) and miss working with 10 fingers.

Yup, you've got it easy. CG must be working on tough stuff to need to do all that looking up. I'm just stupid.

Well then, you should start downloading MSDN to your brain; maybe it'll finish by the time you die.

Pointless. I'd be at 11% and they'd release .NET 7.2 and I'd have to restart the download.
