Let me start of by saying I love this forum and the topics discussed in the lounge. And find some of the members here as great and interesting individuals (leckey your ok in my books, however based on what I read in your blog, I don't think I ever want to be near you in a cash out lineup...) My question is how the members frequent this site so much. I tried to keep up with the discussions in this forum and either my eyes started giving out, or I wasn't getting work done at work! How do you people do it, whats the secret? (I added the RSS feed to a blog reader and that kept me from missing topics but keeping up with the lounge is a full-time job!)

          1. I'm just not motivated enough to participate much anymore 1) A lot of the stuff that passes through the lounge is crap, and it's safe to ignore (everything except what I post of course) (I'm boycotting item #2 in all of my lists today) 3) The soapbox doesn't have the same appeal it used to have 4) When I do answer a post, it's mostly to see inf the univoter is still around

My problem was that when I wanted to type quickly, I pushed keys more, and now I get pain if I type for longer than one or two hours. I use two pencils now (at least my fingers get better) and miss working with 10 fingers.

Hmm. I just added 2,000,000 lines to my current project since we are using 3 big open source libraries (vtk + itk + qt) to do our 3D visualization. Good thing I only need to compile these beasts once per compiler version. But with this much code (a lot of it being templates) normal compiles (in Visual Studio) are significantly longer even with the faster machine I just got. I can fix this to some extent by using precompiled headers but I have not figured out how to do that in a cross platform way with cmake yet.
