In a way it is.... There are no woman outside? You drive to work past none? You live in montana where they are all taken? finding someone is first Not jumping to the conclusion. If you want to bed someone or get married tomorrow, chances are you will find only someone to make you more miserable. :) getting to know someone takes time, but the first light switch is knowing it does, accepting it does, and trying anyhow. Don't wear your heart on a sleeve, don't mope around and ignore all the women either. Living life is a light switch, the rest just comes with time.

It's a no win situation, so make the best of it. When you're alone you wish you had someone around and when there is someone always around you wish you were alone. I picked the one that was best for me. My wife isn't the greatest to look at, but she's good company. I figure out ways to go off by myself for some me time when I need it.

Big fat fry up, black pudding, lots of Soss and eggs, tomatoes, some sort of fries (or hashbrowns I think), liver, the heart of your mortal enemy, then its off to the pub for a midday drink before its off to the football game to continue your conquest of your foes... ring any bells?

Perhaps, perhaps.... First I had to learn how to live alone, without desperation, then all of sudden there were women. :) If you are trying to fill a gap in your own life with another person, perhaps filling it with things you like, then finding a woman who shares those things you filled it with?

I live in a rural town of about 8,000 where many young(er) people of any intelligence move away to find work, so there's only a small pool to choose from to begin with. Finding a woman who reads CP from those who are left will be tricky... ;P

A lot of (completely wrong-headed) people will tell you that any of the above is sad/geeky/nerdy/whatever, but f'em. You'll meet more women than you ordinarily would in day to day life, have more of a chance of finding someone who has the same interests as you and is possibly also looking for the same things you are.
