    I like an absolutely austere (blank, empty, void of icons) desktop. I even hide the task bar.

        My monitor is hiding itself (it's afraid of what I might do if I see it).

                        You can get a Dell-branded version of ObjectDock for free: Dell Dock[^] If you're not using a Dell, don't bother downloading it, because it won't install on anything but a Dell.
