I know TN is in India - I was born, raised, and am living here. I was saying I couldn't find any mention of TN in Christian's link.

Cheers, Vikram. (Got my troika of CCCs!)

It's still there...Title says "Tamil Nadu Stay At Home Mom Makes $6,875/Month Working From Home". Also the first paragraph starts like "If you live in Tamil Nadu or another qualifying US State and you have been wanting to work from home..."

No, no, it isn't Tamil nadu, is Lazio that is my region (sort of county).

LOL, the fun thing is target audience for this is West Bengal also, apart from US. I am a resident of West Bengal and I wonder how this is possible. In West Bengal ( which is a state of India ) the currentcy is INR and they only talk about $. The person, who mooted this concept is not a person who is bengali ( resident of West Bengal are known as Bengali ). I wonder how "West Bengal" was associate with this !!! :omg: The Greatest SPAM forever to me.

It is... I'm in New York, but when I click the link, it shows a city on the other side of the country, "coincidentally" the location of my firm's headquarters. Definitely tracing the IP.

The page seems to detect where you are accessing it from. It told me the story was from Oregon. The scammers are getting better. I've seen many legitimate websites that looked much worse.

That is how I knew it was fake... it said a lady in New Mexico made ... money a week. Half the USA doesn't know New Mexico is a state, the other half couldn't care less, so no one is going to advertise someone from New Mexico making money, it would be worthless advertising. :)

The fact that it places your home town, or at least that of your IP provider, in the US and then discusses everything in US Dollars says Scam Scam Scam! In my case the average Northamptonshire housewife would not think in US dollars!

It looks like an otherwise legitimate enough news site, until you notice that ALL of the links (traffic, weather, news, etc) go to the same "internet profit" spamsite. :-D They might have more success signing up a few poor saps than the usual easily-dismissed email, but it's still hard to imagine many people taking the bait... ...Although a somewhat naieve friend was adamant about signing up to a pyramid-spam scheme about ten years ago - I argued with him for a long time about how pointless and annoying it would be for himself and others, but he was stuck somewhere along the lines of "but what if it's true and I get rich?". Not sure if he went through with it in the end. Perhaps a bit similar to people who aren't quite sure about their particular religion but won't "become" atheists because what if it's true etc. (Even though the same argument could be made for any arbitrary belief).

I think they said $15 per link. Sheer bollocks. USD 15 has been worth at least INR 600 in the last 10 years (except for very brief periods) which will even today buy you a meal for one in a three-star hotel in any of India's biggest cities. Even if you eat at an upper-middle class place, breakfast for one will seldom cost more than INR 50.

The downside being, of course, that you're eating in India. I am truly sorry.

I guess you're one of the few who aren't fond of Indian food? :)

Cheers, Vikram. (Got my troika of CCCs!)
