:omg: I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand it will certainly both enrage the existing fanatics and hurt a fundamental part of their recruiting drive. On the other hand the Russians are allowing this to be a war of ideology and religion, and not of criminal behavior. If we allow the Islamic fundamentalists to turn this into a war of ideology, it will lead to total disaster. The aim of the free world should be to continually paint these lunatics as criminals outside of even their own societies. Attacking them with religion is a mistake. David

It is already a war over ideology and religion. We just can't admit it.

:omg: Evidently, the Russians are going to bury the killed Chechen hostage takers in pigskin! Muslim jihad rebels believe they will ascend immediately to heaven as a result of their attacks. Howevr, being buried in a pigskin is supposed to prevent that. Obviously these guys are serious about sending a message [^] to terrorists. Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible

I believe that the Russians did right. They have to explore every single way to prevent this from happening again. If this prevents another attack, nothing like it.

No, you're wrong. It shows that they know enough about their beliefs to know how to properly punish those responsible. Death is no punishment for these people, they choose it. But to take away the reward that makes people willing to lose their life, now THAT is smart.

What a brilliant idea, should make terrorists think twice. I can't believe noone read this law and implimented it before. I wonder how one could secure a market in the pigskin market :~

:wtf: A bit over the top perhaps??? Sure it sends a message to the terrorists but it also sends a message that they don't give a flying f**k damn about the beliefs of Muslims... or is that a belief of just the jihad rebels? Regards, Brian Dela :-)

The beauty of it is, they aren't actually hurting anyone - you can't hurt someone who is dead. And yet, it will really put people off suicide missions. There will be no point if they won't get their percieved "reward". Could be very effective. Even if it only stops one terrorist attack, and saves one person's life, it will be worth it. :rose:

Didn't the British do something similar during one of their wars (maybe Boer, I'm not sure)? -Sean ---- Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. -- Albert Einstein.
