The weapon isn't as important as the user. And I want the user to be someone else. There are other concerns as well, like being able to sneak behind enemy lines without drawing attention by carrying the wrong weapon. If Red Dawn happens and the enemy carries AKs then so should I. On the other hand, I'd prefer to be on a tropical island that the war doesn't reach.

Either weapon is good! I personally would just firing in some sort of arc'ing (more than likely spelt wrong but DD will let me know!) motion in front of me as it would be the most likely successful method that I could use anyway!

true, the 5.56 ammo is pretty handsome. But also doesn't affect as much damage as the good old 7.62.

I would die fairly quickly whatever firepower I had, so I think I would just hide somewhere with a female and then when discovered offer the female and try to escape.

Reminds me of an old joke. A man escapes from prison where he's been locked up for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns. Inside he finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While trying the homeowners wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her, kisser her neck and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husbad whispers over to his wife: "Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes! he's probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex don't resist! Don't complain! Do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous. if he gets angry, he'll kill us both. Be Strong. I love you!" His wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. he was whispering in my ear. He told me that he's gay , thinks your cute, and asked if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. And I love you too!" Don't be so sure they will take the woman over you. It may just be a band of 'merry' men. ;P
