Reminds me of an old joke. A man escapes from prison where he's been locked up for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns. Inside he finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While trying the homeowners wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her, kisser her neck and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husbad whispers over to his wife: "Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes! he's probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex don't resist! Don't complain! Do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous. if he gets angry, he'll kill us both. Be Strong. I love you!" His wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. he was whispering in my ear. Don't be so sure they will take the woman over you. It may just be a band of 'merry' men. ;P

More reliable wins in my opinion. AK-47 is also easier to clean and to keep clean.

The reliability of the modern m16 is much better than it was in the original form. However, I do agree with you that the AK-47 is more rugged, easier to clean and upkeep, plus you can pretty much do anything to them and they keep firing. The AK-47 would be my choice as well. Plus if you get a high quality AK variant, they are just as accurate.

true, the 5.56 ammo is pretty handsome. But also doesn't affect as much damage as the good old 7.62.

they put a very low twist in the M16 to give the bullet a low spin thus making it more likely to tumble on entry and cause massive internal wounding. OK, it wont go through trees and still keep in a straight line, but it is an effective weapon.
