Tell me something funny and I'll laugh. BTW - a slight hint here; most native English speakers find the usage of the word dear a touch creepy. I appreciate that it's a cultural thing, but dear is something that I either call my wife or shout out to warn the kids that something's just shot in front of the Range when we're off-roading.

I was brought up to respect my elders. I don't respect many people nowadays.

Your enemy programmer falls from 17th floor on your brand new Audi and you don’t know whether to laugh or cry!

Why the 17th floor? We only have three, plus a mezzanine level?

To add to what Pete says about the word "dear" - it's best not to use it on the internet. Since you can't tell what sex a user is, there is a good chance they may be female, and in most of the western world, using "dear" to a female you aren't related to or in a relationship with is considered sexist and patronising.

Doesn't really seem like a glass half full/empty question to me, tbh. Option (a) The insurance company will replace the car Option (b) The HR department will replace the colleague. Option A is certain to be a slow process with a known end-point. Option B is likely to be a fast process with an indeterminate outcome. Think I'd just walk out of the office for the remainder of the day. Option A will suck, option B will more-likely-than-not suck. Either way, it's gonna take longer to get home tonight, may as well make a start! :-\

That is a sad story any way you slice it. My reasoning is that if you're driving an Audi then you're probably the bad guy. The real story is that you (the Audi driver) just implemented a code review policy that probably caused the one productive programmer in your company to commit suicide. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Of course I do. I'm married to her. Any married man who claims they don't have a boss is badly misguided.
