        Oh wow. This is yet another case of 2014 really sucks as a year. Do you know what type of stroke it was? I hope that I'm reading it right that the dog stayed by your side the whole time. That's very touching, and yet another reason to love dogs. Good luck with your rehabilitation.

                                    Best of luck, Walt. I understand what you're going through; my wife had a stroke about six weeks ago. Like you, the parts of her brain responsible for language were hit hard. For someone with a master's degree in English and a profound social media addiction, this has been really... frustrating. She's made good progress though, and has recovered a lot of her language skills.
