You know, I was LISTENING to an NPR report on the attrocities of Hussein committed when he gassed his own people a few years ago. And LISTENING to their pain and suffering was morbid enough. You get a big fat 1 vote for that post. I'm not for this war, but I also think it needs to be recognized that this guy is pure evil. Sure, he's not the only "evil" in this world, but you are obviously blind, dumb, and ignorant in your ability to recognize evil, in any form. Marc Help! That was uncalled for, regardless of what s/he has been saying. Just vote a one and move on, or if you really must say something then say "please stop posting like this" or "please say something objective". It is their choice to ignore you, there's no need to go calling people names.

I guess the days when a spade can be called a spade is long gone, to be replaced with politically correct statements that convey no meaning, no emotion, nothing. Or with veiled statements like: "I feel that the thinking that went into this post demonstrates a level of ignorance on the part of a poster." Oh please. Marc Help! I wasn't aware I was on any morale high-horse. However if "getting off" means throwing away what I believe to be the common courteousy that separates intelligent people from the trash on the street then I'm sorry John, no I won't. Go back to making boorish jokes; that’s what you're good at. :|

Dave, you're being a bit of a hypocrite (you've been just as bad as the rest of us, but please don't become pedantic and request a specific reference - you know you've been a bad monkey). The problem with "this place falling into the same mess" isn't because of people that aren't hobbled some false sense of morality or decency, it's because of the fuckwads (like Samer12 and IrishCoffee9) that are allowed to join/stay. We were doing just fine before the influx of idiots we've seen over the last 12 months. Now, we have barely literate assholes stirring shit up on the lounge, ignoring the posting rules, and generally degrading the overall quality of articles we see. It's time to take CP back from the religious zealots, political know-it-alls, and idiot students begging for us to do their fuckin' homework. The question that I have is where and when were these pictures taken? And what actually harmed these people, it could have been anti aircraft fire falling back to earth. There was obviously no shortage of metal being thrown into sky over the last few days. It is possible that these were innocent people killed by Iraqi fire or by the Coalition by accident. I think that once this is over, the truth will be more obvious. If you don't want to be part of a solution to the problem, then STFU. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

Here is a problem, John. All faithful CP members like to see its growth. 100,000 members! 500,000 members! 10,000,000 members! :) But this growth comes at a price. I agree that the quality of postings degraded - in my opinion, of course, I can't be an objective judge. But isn't this a price for popularity? Isn't it too optimistic to hope we can grow up to a million members without losing in quality of our discussions? And with restricted access to CP, it will probably be hard for Chris to convince his sponsors - the site is free for us all. Вагиф Абилов MCP (Visual C++) Oslo, Norway Hex is for sissies. Perhaps, if the writing were at least in English, we could even see what they were saying. Who knows maybe the paper is saying "Look at the horror we won't have to live with anymore" We just don't know.
