D***ed English confusion again. The terrorist was in the van, not the innocent tourist. But re-reading his original comment I can see how non-English speakers could read it.

"but there was violence on both sides!!!!!" Yeah, the police shot the assholes. Sometimes, you need to identify the assholes and deal with them. (Of course Trump didnt tweet this, I was merely drawing a parallel between biggoted racists and biggoted racists).

Ya, you nailed it. The police are just a bunch of protesting violent people. Totally parallel.

I know about the terrorist attack. I meant that with the innocent guy being attacked in the van that he used as example answering you. see my first message and what I quoted in it.

"unsuspecting tourist who are minding their own business using a f***ing van." He meant the terrorists used a van to kill innocents, not that the innocent was in the van.

Off into the weeds again. I don't think you ever understand anything I write. Granted, I may misunderstand you first, but every time you respond it is clear we are not on the same page or even in the same chapter.

Why does everyone have the same reaction to what you write? I often think it is because we read subtlety into words which you lack. ie, your statements really are as simplistically wrong as they appear at prima facie.

The right wing nazi demonstrators (as despicable as they might be) had a bona fide permit from the authorities for their rally, where they got attacked by left wingers, while the police was munching donuts in their barracks. I doubt the terrorists could provide such documents.

While the US has no hate speech laws they have to expect this kind of violence and stop whining about it.

I agree, I place the blame at the local authorities. First of all they shouldn't have allowed the rally in the first place, but once allowed, they should have put heavy riot police in place, which was nowhere to be seen if you look at the videos.

I didn't forget it, it is in the eye of the beholder. YOU think Europeans are innocent, jihaddis dont, because their those European countries went to war in Iraq and killed muslims. And before you go off on one that is NOT what I think, that is what THEY think, OK? The fact is you have on the one hand, a bunch of assholes, and on the other normal, decent society (yes, relative to anti-semites antifa are normal). Society has a right and a duty to deal with assholes any way it feels fit, and while the US has no anti hate speech laws to make this right wing march illegal, whereby the police could act, then the populace will have to do the job. The same happened on a train out of Brussels. A jihaddi comes out of a toilet with an AK47 and in the absence of the police a British IT worker and two off duty US soldiers nailed the guy. Job done, asshole dealt with. As for Trump, I am, of course, deriding his inability to side with normal society and condemn out of hand the far right. His presidency is now at an end.

Approximately 75 years ago, the "highly cultured and civilised" Germans started implementing their Final Solution to the Jewish Problem. Although the rest of the world found out a out this in short order (it was well-known by 1943), not one of the other "highly cultured and civilised" nations of the World would lift a finger to save the Jews. Now I, a Jew, am laughing. You stupid b*stards got rid of the harmless Jews, and in supposed expiation of your crime - have let in the terrorists and their fellow travellers. It couldn't have happened to nicer people!

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill

Actually the rest of europe, and the US, knew about the Nazis treatment of jews in the 30s, and did nothing. In fact I believe one boat load was turned away from country after country. What would be interesting is to know why there was so much anti-semitism in Europe in the 19th century-WWII period. Did they really have a strangle hold over money as is often stated?
