Like your president, huh? There was a time when the POTUS was perhaps the most respected person and position on the planet. Now your own NY daily paper uses a big pile pf sh*t to represent him. Wake up.

I did want to say though, I apologise if I come over as being rude - I don't really mean to be (usually.. to most people... most of the time...!) but I do get het up in arguments sometimes - even online ones when one has time to cool (kool?) down, and just fire things off...

True - the damage was started in the Nixon era, really, but even in GB's case, although he was taken the mick out of (rather unkindly, it must be said - it's never nice to mock someone for a speech impediment) it was a) never with as much malice as Trump attracts - no-ne ever depicted him as pile of shit - and b) the office (as opposed to the person) of POTUS wasn't demeaned as much as it is now. Trump has managed to drag things to a new low.

True - the damage was started in the Nixon era, really, but even in GB's case, although he was taken the mick out of (rather unkindly, it must be said - it's never nice to mock someone for a speech impediment) it was a) never with as much malice as Trump attracts - no-ne ever depicted him as pile of shit - and b) the office (as opposed to the person) of POTUS wasn't demeaned as much as it is now. It makes no odds though - call someone's country a sh*thole and you are likely to be called a sh*thole yourself, and can hardly complain about it. That's all I was saying. Besides, the difference is moot - a country is made up of its people. When Trump used that word he wasn't referring to the landscape.
