Went to the Dutch Chamber of Commerce yesterday to finish my CoC registration and so Juun Software was born! :D I'll be switching to a 32 hour work week for my current employer and spend at least 8 hours a week for my own business. I'm already working on a project (some custom software for a startup), but it's hard next to a 40 hour work week. I've got everything covered financially, so I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride :D So remember that name, Juun Software. You'll be seeing it next to Microsoft, Apple, and Google in a couple of years ;p

So now your boss is arse and your employee is a lazy effer! Let us know how that works out for you!

Congratulations and good luck. Running your own business can be a lot of work. I tried it once (got bored during spring break) but without customers, there was no business.

Thanks :D "Juun" is local dialect for the Dutch word "ui", meaning "onion". Of course good software is build up in layers, like an onion. An onion is also a vegetable that is grown locally, just like I'm a local developer. The name in dialect makes it extra local. So, like an onion, the name has multiple layers of meaning (which is kind of a recursive meaning I guess) :D Also, it's VERY hard to find a name that isn't taken and "Juun" did not exist in the CoC register (not even as a name) :) All my friends that come from the island think the name is pretty funny, other people ask me what "Juun" is  All in all I'm quite happy with the name, it even works pretty well in English (who probably pronounce it a June or some such, giving it a summer vibe) :)

Yeah, I would never have guessed the meaning of your company's name in a million years. Once you get your company website up and running, you may want to put that in your company profile section. ;) Anyhow, I am happy for you. You are young and motivated with lots of ambition. This is a very good time in your life now to strike while the iron is hot, stay focused, and follow your dreams. Cheers, and again, the best of luck to you.

What makes you think they are down sizing? :-D Congratulations dude, good luck!
