Hump admires dictators. (In fact, his facial gestures and stance are so much Mussolini it's actually funny.) He promised Mexico would pay for the wall. How'd that work out? He promised to clean up the swamp - and put in a cesspool. The Kurds are Erdogan's local "them" enemy. Distract the people from him finishing the formation of the "Turkish Reich". He began his murdering the innocent by bombing the Kurds living in Turkey because ISIS set off a bomb and killed Turks. Any excuse to violate a cease fire. Turkey is in NATO. On the other hand, the Kurds are our allies. And I do differentiate between the two. We can only pray that Hump has a stroke - very severe and very soon.

So do I - gives the populace a clear target to hold accountable. Think of Terry's "Patrician", and it makes more sense.

Looked it up on youtube, and you only have to imagine the hair. That was weird, thanks for the laugh :D

So, how much probability that he will keep this promise?

So does the Dutch government; but not a word on what happens if a Dutchie (or an American) get caught between the Turks and Kurds. Whom do we help? Our allies, or our allies?

I hope he remains a bit, and that it will convince the Americans to choose very, very carefully and wisely next time. A janitor who doesn't like politics would be a good starting point.

ISIS are finished, so why have US troops there? The Kurds are a different discussion, heck, even the Iraqi Kurds dont like the Syrian ones!

ISIS is done. Why is it the US fault? Why dont you send in your army and deal with it if you feel so strongly about it? Ah, but of course not, it is the USs fault isnt it, because, well it is the US, and continentals just love bashing the US. Just grow a pair as big as they have and take up the reins eh? I am tied of this whining noise.

Just the chronically impotent 'continentals'. If you really want to consider Europe a continent to begin with. It's just the west end of Asia. There's always the other option: send in a massive French Expeditionary Force so they can surrender to the first villager they come across.

Sorry for my previous rant, you set me off on one. Look, I know Germany is terrified of being a military power, but don't dump the job of being the worlds policemen on the US. The UN is totally gutless, look at their behaviour in Bosnia and Ruanda, if you think the Kurds need protecting get over your past and send your troops in.

Although totally mishandled, it's one of the things Humps getting right (or could have). He worries about the cost but I worry about the blood. And who want's their kid to come home in a flag-draped box? Germans are rather good at war - it takes orderly methodical thinking. Just an thought: if the Germans expanded to outward adventures, would not the rest of Europe try to use them as, well, a surrogate for US? Just a thought. And, of course, there's the proposals for an EU army. Do we laugh or cry?

A surrogate for blame, or a surrogate to ride on, in terms of giving global security? An EU army? Just another toy of the Eurocrats and their increasing federalisation. I doubt there would be any agreement about where to use it, unless it ended up UN style, in which case utterly useless.

To ride on. I've been rather annoyed when there's a crisis and "the world" wants to to what the US will do about it. Clearly you've observed the same. If the opportunity arises for someone else to pay and bleed, you can be sure it will be taken advantage of. Everyone want's to "Bell the Cat" as long as someone else does it.

Yeah, and then they criticise the US for pulling out. I would like to see the UN actually do something useful instead of just pay themselves a lot (tax free of course) and do a great deal of talking, but fat chance of that.

The Kurds have been good allies - in fact, for that region of the world, exceptional allies. If Hump had a pair he'd just announce that "our troops are staying and any fire which we feel endangers them will result in swift and aggressive retaliation until we determine the threat has been neutralized."

I think the same happened in Iraq some time ago, when the US abandoned them and they got gassed or something like that by Saddam. You think US allies would learn from these things. :)

So let's get some perspective here: Erdogan demanded Hump remove them and he promptly obeys his master. Face it - your brain-dead god in the white house is just an obedient serf. The mass murder that's already being threatened will be on his head - but he couldn't give two shits. Don't play the Obama game - it's Humps doing and Humps timing. Post as much weasel sleaze as you like, he's a pyrrhia and embarrassment to his species - whatever the fuck that is. And you - keep on covering for him (at least in your own head) because it's either that or admit he made the fool of you becaise, well, that he did make of you.

If I recall, they began their ethnic wars with Obama's move. There's a real difference here: 1) outside party demands US leave so they can attack an ally* 2) hump agrees to cut and runs right after the threat 3) threat escalates to genocidal level * a for-real ally, not like the Iraqis or Afganis. But you're quite right - between Hump and Obama, only a jerk would put their lives in our hands. Or, with the Hump brand on the country, who'd make any kind of treaty, agreement, or anything else? He's a cancer.
