As someone who doesn't want children at all it's beyond me why anyone would ever want more than, say, two. Or how you'd pay for more :~ I do think child birth beyond the first or second child should be discouraged, like child support only for the first child, etc. And of course legal abortion possible through late stages in pregnancy.

Same here. At some point in my life, I did want children, but I took a nap and it passed.

Meanwhile, the republican "pro-life" government has reinstated the death penalty  Speaking of pro-life, why is the quality of the lives involved never discussed? It's just that an embryo needs to become a baby and beyond that the parent(s) have to see however they're going to raise it. It's not pro-life, it's really just anti-choice. I wonder how one gets to the mindset of "we decide what's best for everyone."

They also get it from non-religion so your point is now nullified. For example, you try to push "your views" on others even though you don't have a religion. Religion is just a set of beliefs so we all fall under that category. Your statement means nothing other than another attempt to persecute those that are different than you.

But when you want unwanted children to be murdered I'm not sure that all the good you do do, means a whole lot. Especially when you criticize the same thing (religions that have done tons of good but do have some bad periods.) :^) I won't apologize for valuing human life.

What he really wants is no unwanted children, and in that way he values life more than the anti-abortion crusaders. I would make a snide remark about how Christians don't care whether there are unwanted children or not, but that would make this snide remark pointless.

              Quote:

Joe Biden cited that the U.S. is responsible for only 15% of total global emissions and that even if the U.S. makes drastic changes in climate policy it is not going to do much in the grand scheme of things.

I don't think this is ever a good argument. I'm a vegetarian, so let's say I save about 25 animals a year (some statistic I once read). Not a lot, you might say. Except that millions of people are vegetarian and the more people do it the more accept it and follow by example (even if it's just eating less meat). So all in all, we're saving hundreds of millions of animals per year, and that's a big number. This is only possible if the individual doesn't believe in the "I don't make a difference" argument. Let's take the example where it hurts Biden, you don't hear him say "don't vote for me because your individual vote doesn't do much in the grand scheme of things." :D The same goes for climate change, and 15% for one single country is quite a lot actually. So if America does it they're also setting an example for other countries, they can learn from each other, etc. So I'd argue that if they make drastic changes it would do A LOT in the grand scheme of things. China and India are doing it, by planting a shitload of trees, so America better not lag behind! And I, for one, would welcome that, because I do think we have a problem (and I'm doing my individual part as well) :)

Why are you bringing religion into this topic? Are you suggesting that Christians are the only one who care about children? I'm sure there are lots of people who aren't Christians that also don't favor killing children. And it is so lame and immoral to try and claim that since no one wants the children then we should just kill them. I want them. Period! There, you can never use that excuse again because there is no such thing as an unwanted child.

That law has nothing to do with people killing homosexuals because a priest told them it was a sin. For every case you show me of a Christian killing a gay person because a priest said homosexuality was a sin, I'll show you 100 cases of Muslims killing gays right up til today. You want links to a recent survey showing 50% of Muslims in UK think homosexuality should be illegal? Want me to show you videos of Muslims protesting outside schools in the UK against LGBT awareness and the kind of homophobic things they're saying? Want to see videos of Muslims assaulting gay people at "pride" festivals? Cos I don't see a lot of this stuff coming from any religion other than Islam....

I see no animal as a save. It's better to not have an animal at all than to have an animal being tortured and killed :) Besides, less animals means less greenhouse gasses, which means cleaner air... In fact, scientists say we should all switch to a vegetarian diet if we want to save the planet. So perhaps no animal is even better than a saved one (we can't keep them all anyway) :)

You are simply uneducated on the subject. [Christianity and homosexuality - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity\_and\_homosexuality). When I was a kid, I remember homosexuality being in the news because it was being spread from pulpits. It may have been before your time, but that fearmongering by churches, including those you consider 'Christian', is the reason for that law's existence.

Good. You are deluding yourself a bit less. It has happened in the past, and in this current climate it may happen again. I know there was a transsexual killed near where I live lately, and the list of those atrocities is disgustingly growing. Many of them are propelled by religious beliefs, including Christian beliefs. Maybe not your 'version' of Christianity, but Christian non-the-less. Christian history, of which Catholicism is a part, has some atrocities in it just as ugly as Muslim acts. "Let God sort them out." The Crusades. Salem Witch Hunts.

That link can start showing you how. I know something about you simply from your posts. For example, I know you depict Democrats poorly, almost as if you despise them. That says a lot about your personality. Unless, of course, you are just trolling. In which case, ha, ha! Have a good day!

I read through a lot of it and didn't see anything I didn't know. So, the fact that you can't actually articulate where I am wrong, leads me to believe that you have nothing.

Really? What does it say? There's a cash reward for anyone that can even come close to profiling me. I've offered this several times before and no one has ever gotten close.

Uh, no I'm not. See this link, Google[^]. It has all the information right there to prove I know nothing. But you are right. I am certainly uneducated on what the heck David is talking about. And since he won't answer, I'll remain ignorant.
