95% of the time, mine is "regedit". The rest of the time, it's "cmd". OK, it's a stupid post Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

Most of the time "cmd", the rest "calc" or "regedit"... Paul ;) I have been afraid always. When you see something insurmountable ahead of you, say to yourself: "All right! I am afraid. Now that I've been properly afraid, let's go forward." That is the whole secret. - Jeanne d'Arc

cmd and mstsc once in awhile I have http://192.168.0.1 for router configuration/diagnostics. As for regedit the only time I use it is if I am developing something that specfically works with it, but thats been quite a while. Matt Newman

My colleague and I are what he calls "command-line Windows users", going by some of what's in my current list: c:\windows c:\Program Files desktop (This is really useful when you have lots of stuff open!) calc cmd charmap devmgmt.msc compmgmt.msc regedit winword Win+R is really useful, you see. I prefer the Windows command line to the various Unix ones (I'm a heretic, obviously), as you can run just one command without needing to muck about with a terminal shell, and that's what you do 90% of the time. Yes and Yes. I use Remote Administrator to monitor/update/etc. our product on MANY remote units. When a problem occurs, I remote into the unit (File Transfer, Command Prompt, and sometimes full control) and do whatever is needed. The Windows Key doesn't go through Radmin so to bring up explorer on the remote machine I hit Start->Run->"cmd" usually. Most of my actions require a prompt. Then when I want an Explorer window I just type it in. I could never do without the good 'ol "DOS" prompt.

95% of the time, mine is "regedit". The rest of the time, it's "cmd". OK, it's a stupid post Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.
