You will get bad outsourcers as you will get bad local dev. Both have their challenges, their pros and cons. A corporate I was working for has outsourced the development of their new reservation system, they hired an team from India to do a proof of concept model. It was great, ASP.NET talking to a third party back-end system via TCP/IP (3 months they worked on it). Nice code, great documentation. Sadly, the corporation decided to use a firm in America who have not even managed to get a simple desktop system running yet. What I meant is that irrespective of when you go to bed, waking up at around 7 AM - say to answer the phone - and then going back to bed - as you know you can sleep till 9 - is absolute bliss! Nish
