Sounds proper. All the best assembly language programmers are paranoid-schizophrenics anyway. :-D

C & C++. Least Favorite: BASIC and PASCAL. I can't explain why I don't like Pascal, I simply don't, and subsequently haven't programmed in it for many, many years. BASIC is an ironic choice, because it's where I've made most of my living- and I have vastly more experience in it than anything else. Because I've been 'forced' to use it, I hate the weaknesses I'm forced to work around. Paul

Until C# came along, C++ was it -- although I really appreciated Java's simplicity. Then C# came along and it added a lot of the features Java should have had, while keeping its simplicity, which I really come to appreciate. Now I find C++ to be an overly complex language. Sure, it's got some nifty features, like MI, macros, and templates, but I have barely missed them. But every now and then when you have a painfully simple report or utility to do and you can write it from memory using a total of nine words it can be satisfying. All I've ever wanted was an honest week's pay for an honest day's work.

Of the languages I've actually used, C++ is my favorite, and PIC assembly language is my least favorite. Languages I dislike on general principles: Visual Basic*, Forth, APL, and COBOL. * Note: I like ordinary BASIC. Visual Basic reminds me of a mouse built to government specifications (visualize in your mind a hermaphroditic seven-legged two-headed rhinocerous with skin problems, and you get the idea). Weird languages I've used and liked at the time: LISP, VAX/VMS DCL, PDP-11 assembly language.
