[edit]I give up. I have no idea what've happened. I suspect VS.NET had something to do with it, because IE stopped working after a programming session the other day. I've had this XP install for 2 years. I guess it's time to reinstall. Anyway, many thanks to you who gave me advice. Much appreciated![/edit] IE 6 has gone insane on me. It can't open anything! If I try to open a HTML page, local or remote - it doesn't matter, it gives me a dialog - do you wish to open or save this document? Of course, I can't access windows update because it only works with IE. :(( I don't want to reinstall everything this weekend. So, please, pretty please, with sugar ontop, help me if you can. :beg: ps. Everything related to IE in anyway is screwed up. VS.NET and MSDN help browser are affected. :(( ds. -- Seraphim Shock. This happens after installing MDAC?!?!? Great. Viva Microsoft. I am thinking of setting up my own Department of Homeland Security and I will raise the level to Orange or Red whenever Microsoft releases an update. :suss:

Now imagine how the guys at the European NASA feel when their Beagle thingy-vehicle disappeared. That's what happens when you load WinXP on a Mars vehicle :rolleyes:. And you whine about regsvr-ing two files and not being able to open HTML files. Jörgen, Jörgen ;)

Have you tried reinstalling just Internet Explorer (from your MSDN CD's)?
