Too few original movies. I get tired of seeing that Marvel logo.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
Actually, most of the original movies have been produced lately have come from the Marvel universe.

Agree with your point but the reboots should better than existing series at-least not bad. Like Nolan's Dredd, Batman series Not like Robocop, recent Godzilla, Amazing spiderman, Ninja Turtles, etc.,

The only thing that irritates the shit out me every time they decide to "re-heat" a superhero is that we have to see FOR THE ELEVENTY-SEVENTH time how Peter Parker became Spiderman and how Bruce Wayne became Batman etc. Why can't they just move on, assuming that we have already seen one of the zillion movies about that before? X|

I disagree. A reboot for me means a rehash of the story made in a different way - different director, actors, script, staff etc. so it can't be the same. It all really depends on who gets to make the movie. Of course I always wish for movies to be at least as good if not better than the existing series but that isn't the case. As you have pointed out Robocop, Spiderman and Ninja Turtles were all disappointing. Recent Godzilla was great in my opinion.

maybe, and I see your point, but we all have the right to discriminate and where all things are otherwise equal, then trying to make up for past mistakes by trying to help can't be all bad.

I would imagine they cost about the same and I think two very different stories could probably take very different means to tell and therefore the cost would be very different. So, it's not a very good way to compare.
