...the same crap. Anything they like is good; everything else is stupid. Today it's Apple vs PC and Java vs VB vs C#. In the future, it'll be qubits vs ESP.

Perhaps they'll be texting - and due to an additional 20 years of dumbing down the populace, they'll only have one letter so as not to get confused. Perhaps the only argument left will be what letter. Based on current texting practices, we can only hope it's the space-bar.

Of course - it had to be upper case. I'd have thought "K" though - it can be used in so many ways:

          K? Greetings! How are you?
          K! Let's do it!
          K Whateva.
          K... Suspicious agreement.
          etc.

Nice try Griff! Trying to trick me with that old 201X technology. I remember from my Ancient Computing History class that a nibble is 4 bits, so an octanibble is just a 32-bit value!

and whether they should work for cheap/poorly managed companies that make them write, perform and/or report their own test cases - but I'm sure all devs are honest people so that's OK.

Nor there; Java was pushed by universities, as it was an open-source alternative they could hold practical lectures on, as opposed to the closed Microsoft platform. Java runs coffee-machines and more, but it did not take of on the desktop. C# IS the next incarnation of VB, and since the future rhymes, when C# will be villified in the future, we'll "invent" a new language (one that replaces keywords in the syntax, nothing else) and all problems will be solved anew.

It is time that a task can be defined in a meta language... and then tools (implemented perhaps in C # || VB || Java || Python ...) should convert this meta definition into applications . It means that the description of the task (in “the” meta language) remains ~"constant". The tools take over the translation of the “meta task” into the current techniques. Only my creazy mind. Bruno

Of course - it had to be upper case. I'd have thought "K" though - it can be used in so many ways:

                                          K? Greetings! How are you?
                                          K! Let's do it!
                                          K Whateva.
                                          K... Suspicious agreement.
                                          etc.

Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Oddly enough, this almost reminds of using binary, just upper and lower case Ks instead. So in that light...

Let's overlook the similarities between that and the infamous hate group, in the name of science, shall we.
