Did you also check the web.config found in the admin folder? That's the most likely place to find the errant connection string. Is your connection string encrypted or open text in the web.config?

From your description is sounds like you need to update the Web.config file with the correct connection string. Have you already looked there?

I've had good success using Axosoft OnTime: Axosoft OnTime[^] Heard about them at a .Net Users Group meeting and the price is reasonable.

I've been typing using the Dvorak layout for the past 8+ years. I don't think that I'm any faster now that I use this layout, but I did notice an immediate difference in the pain that QWERTY was causing in my forearms. I haven't timed myself but if I had to quess I would think I'm typing somewhere around 90wpm which was about the same as I was typing in QWERTY before I swithed over. It took one month for me to make the change typing all day in nothing but DVORAK. It was about two weeks of making tons of errors and then another 2 weeks of typing correctly and slowly increasing the speed back to normal. It isn't as programmer friendly, but it didn't take long to adapt to where the symbols moved to. The semi-colon ; is no longer on the home row and the curly braces {} are moved a little further away, but I don't have any trouble using them and I code almost exclusively in C#. There is an added bonus when you use Dvorak which is great for evil control freaks like myself. It has completely eliminated any co-worker pranks on my work machine and it's a great source of amusement when another control freak is watching me work over my shoulder and insist that they be allowed to type. That's especially true with IT support folks. I find them waiting for me after they tried to slip in and run an update while I was out. I'm not all evil. I did leave a Dvorak keyboard layout posted next to the computer in case they really needed to get in while I was away.

I'm using Sitefinity (www.sitefinity.com) and trying to get two custom built controls to talk to each other. I'm looking for suggestions as to how I could accomplish this. I'm using .Net 3.5. Right now I can pass data one way using the Page.Context.Items collection and viewing that from the OnPreRender(). One control is a breadcrumb generator and the other is a browse control. The two should work in tandem. When the breadcrumb trail is clicked the navigation should update with that level's sub-items. And if a sub-item is clicked in the navigation control the breadcrumb should update accordingly (standard breadcrumb + navigation setup going against a heirarchical table) These controls are added to the page from the sitefinity interface, so I don't know what the ID or ClientID of these controls will be as it is controlled by the sitefinity CMS software. I do have access to the Page object inside each control. I would love to use Events to communicate between the two, I'm just not sure how to make that happen or where in the page / control lifecycle to do it. Any suggestions?

Anyone know of a third party tool that will perform a search with a spellcheck? I have multiple vistors who misspell words when they submit their queries and I'm looking for something quick and easy that I can plug-in and go. [edit] I need to clarify that I don't want to use Google's sitesearch service. I'm looking for a tool that I can configure how the results look when returned and really I just want the tool to make suggestions of how the word should be spelled by looking at an existing word list.

Wow that's cool. I hadn't even thought to google this one before getting it. I just was so dissappointed in losing the other one that I just picked a random expiring domain and got it. Adam
