When running, there are hot keys usable from, for example, MS Word. It is a dictionary, thesaurus, semaphores, hypernyms, wild cards, history, gives near matches, anagrams and so on. There is also an on-line version.

I've often thought about doing that (going independent), but frankly, it scares me to death. I need to keep the bills paid. I've always had a regular "steady" job. Steady, however, is not really what the last couple of them have been. I keep wondering if I am going to come in, only to find the doors padlocked or something. I really don't know where to start. All my experience is in application development. I have good all-around knowledge (C, C++, C#, .NET), but not a lot of specialized knowledge (I did write firmware for one company). My wife keeps pushing me to go into business for myself, but I keep coming back to that "paying the bills" thing. I can't afford to go for a couple of years without a steady income. :(:sigh: WE ARE DYSLEXIC OF BORG. Refutance is systile. Your a$$ will be laminated.

You would do this if you needed to perform some form of cleanup that is only required if an error occures but don't want to swallow the exception at that point in the code. Catching and then immediately re-throwing without doing anything else serves no purpose though.

No code, but the basic idea should be fairly simple. Load the dictionary into a hash table, and test to see if the proposed passwords in it.

Sorry, didn't see the 2.0 in the question. This applies to 1.0 and 1.1, but I would think that it would be a huge breaking change to change this behavior in 2.0. Static variables are maintained until the AppDomain is recycled. If you use static variables in ASP.Net they need to be protected with locks. In most cases, an application level variable is a better choice for static type data. Also, if you need something at a request level of granualarity, the context has an items collection.

well from your point I am quite afraid that you are might be using wrong queries. like to fetch ID from Table you are using select * from Table... and then you are puting them in a session to save them from fetching again. if it is true then dont do this. try to destroy maximum memory at server side MANUALLY ... instead of waiting like DataTable or Dataset.Dispose() GC.GetTotalMemory(True) GC.WaitForPendingFinalizers() GC.Collect means destory every thing... second thing is how many session variables you have and how many of them are datatables and datasets etc..... like asking for the variables which can consume unlimited space...
