After explicitly white listing "codeproject.freetls.fastly.net", the site looks fairly normal now (but in contrast to last Friday, the authentication cookie and some cached files are present - won't clear them). Only the "upvote" / "downvote" buttons are still missing.

Oddly, CodeProject works still fine on my oldest Firefox on this machine, i.e. version 44. But on later versions like e.g. 115, it fails. No submenus popup when I hover over an item like "community". The login button on the main page fails (um "button"... actually just a text linked to "javascript:;"), but at an other URL (pasted into the browser's address bar), I eventually found a working login. And the css seems totally missing - even when I disable my proxy.pac script (and it is obviously not the cause because on this old machine, it works fine). Now I am a little confused.

Regarding the usability of not highly enriched uranium, there is a paywalled article in the current edition of Science: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.ado8693[^] It tells us that uranium enriched to more than 10% U-235 can be used to build a bomb, but you may need a ton of it. On the other hand, when such 10-20% enriched uranium is used - and thus produced - for commercial purposes, the currently clear line of distinction of "weapon uranium" and "civil uranium" gets blurred, and non-proliferation checks fail.

After replacing many workers by AI, managers can concentrate their micro-managing efforts on a smaller number of underlings. This will inevitably increase morale results pleasure of the managers.

I haven't compared different database engines since a long time ago. On my private machine, I still use an old MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer edition... At my last workplace, it was mySQL - oh my, I would not like to use it again. The more I had to deal with it, the less functional it proved, even for simple CRUD stuff. More than 10 years ago, I tested huge reporting queries in many different engines - Oracle and MS SQl Server were best, followed by postgres; mysql behaved worse than MS Access...

Actually, such tools are nothing new at all. At least, when reading some emails I receive from gratuitious guys all over the internet, who offer me split screen videos of my computer screen on one half and a simultaneous video of my web cam on the other half for just a couple of bitcoins. And that works on my old windows version, too. Even when no webcam is available...

When Linux is kept in close proximity to Windows, occasional "zoonotic" infections with Windows viruses may occur, and give them a possibility to evolve into capable Linux viruses. Hence, also Linux should receive regular booster vacciniations against Windows viruses, and those vaccinations preferably be sterilizing vaccinations.

That's likely better: because those under-performers just lack basic discipline. It works on my machine! - done. Write tests - no. What can go wrong - that's negativity. Write understandable code - why? Etc.

Aren't there similar quirks with the DateFormat? And what about NumberFormat (like decimal separator etc.)?
