And this account is what I used for publishing my one article. Might as well let you get to know who you're just blindly ripping into. But hey, people might think you are now cool. So carry on.

Why do you find it immature? I find the opposite myself. Its all seriousness and watch what you say at work. So its a nice refreshment to have some candor at CP.

Heh, his vision for where computers should be had me a bit concerned. He started talking about being able to talk to your machine, have it recognize your handwriting, etc.... next he'll be saying we need to code in Plain English. Damn, I had to say it, didn't I. Oh well.

Silence is consent. Anyone lurking in the forums has the power of the vote at their fingertips to voice dissent or agreement. The fact that there aren't many voting would lead me to believe that they just don't agree. I think this falls under the "Taking it too seriously" category.

Well, you might not be a nerd. Your profile mentions geek though. ;) Relax, I think you're reading too much into this and taking it all too personal. I don't think that calling for more seriousness in the insider is going to garner much support. I get enough of those demands at work, and frankly look to this community for a refreshing contrast to that without having to leave the subject domain. So, love it.

Careful, your sounding awful Negus-like. I find nothing wrong with the comments. Just ignore them if you don't like em'. I have yet to find one that I don't particularly agree with.

Chris announced on the WinDev mailing list that he was sick of CodeGuru and was toying with starting his own site. He started it, and I've floated in and out over the years, making a more stationary appearance a little over a year ago.

I slacked for a few years before staying with an id. I probably have an old one from a previous company. I remember when he was starting the site with input from some of us on the WinDev emailing list. So I was there when Chris was still working at CodeGuru and probed us about if he should break away and start up code tools, due to the direction CodeGuru was headed. Funny, I was actually helping another guy compete with Chris at the time, but he did a better job and was up and running faster (Maunder that is). The guy I was helping was asking our group to help support the cost of the web servers. Heh. Lets just say it deteriorated from there. If I had known the prestige associated I might have retained my login. Nah, probably not.
