I have a really frustrating problem, and some googling has revealed that I'm not the only one. Its quite easy to reproduce: 1. Create a .Net C# project with a usercontrol and a forms application 2. Build the solution (debug) and add the usercontrol to the form's toolbox 3. Drag a usercontrol from the toolbox into the form 4. Close the form 5. Select the "Release" configuration 6. Open the form Now the user control is gone with all its related code! I know this is happening because the usercontrol .dll does not exist in the release configuration, but is deleting sourcecode really expected behaviour? Am I doing something wrong? Thought about programmingOption one makes you perform a copy of the data, which is always expensive. The compiler may be capable of optimizing the copy away though -any thoughts? Christian Skovdal Andersen Don't mention the war...

John Simmons is a TV-writer?I absolutely *loved* that show when I was a kid! Can you remember the scene with the big-nosed guy eating a mouse directly from the dumpster? That the mouse was white, did not occur to me at the time as unrealistic - but the agian - realism was'nt exactly the main part of the show :-) If it *is* John who wrote the series, I respectfully throw my self in the dust... US/ vs. European audio cassettesChristian Graus wrote: Tapes are fine. Do you still have the tapes ? Most VCR's nowadays play both PAL and NTSC, you should have little trouble finding someone with a world player VCR if your home format is PAL. Well, she still have the tapes, and we are looking for a VCR that will play both formats. However I feel quite stupid buying a new VCR these days. Anyway, I'm not too much in a hurry finding a VCR that will play the tapes - it is work-out tapes - and that Jane Fonda chick has a voice that will cut a coala in half! US/ vs. European audio cassettesJust a quick question: My girlfriend is in the process of ordering some good ol' audio cassete tapes from Amazon - she has previously ordered some video tapes, which did not work during to the difference between PAL and NTSC formats. Now, is it the same with audio cassettes, or can US tapes be played in european cassette decks without problems? Christian Skovdal Andersen Don't mention the war...

Shareware License AgreementIt says on your website: "Development on MSDEEM (beta users know what I am talking about) is going to be stalled while I move the SQL editor from the CodeMax editing component to TextCenter. For those interested, checking the CodeMax list archives should explain why." Why are you not using CodeMax anymore? (I'm too lazy to check the achives) The reason I ask is that I have just finfihed a project in part based on the CodeMax editor component. Christian Skovdal Andersen Don't mention the war...

Software movie programHi, We are going to shoot a small series of short movies, demonstrating different parts of our software. Does anybody know of a program, a suite, or a combination of programs from different vendors, that will allow us to capture what is going on on-screen, add a voice-over, and compress it to .mpg, .asf or another web-friendly format? If it were shareware or very cheap, that would be nice too :-) Thanks in advance! Christian Skovdal Andersen Don't mention the war...

Free Tech Support :-)Hi, I really like WinXP, but I have found it to be annoying in some ways, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. 1. Windows Media Player 9 I absolutely *hate* the new windows media player 9 or whatevter it is called. I can see that the old one is still available (mplayer2.exe), but I do not know how I can associate it with streming audio content from my favorite netradios (they are coming .ASX files). I have removed the association from the reistry, but it still opens up mediaplayer9 when I click a link to and .ASX file???? I know it works, because I was streaming with Windows mediaplayer 2 under windows 2000. 2. Picture file associations Even if I associate images with another program like ACDSEE, Windows still insist that I should open them in the ridicoulous "Picture and Fax viewer". I hope someone can help, or I will have to give in to some of the arguments from my Linux-happy friends :(( Christian Skovdal Andersen Don't mention the war...
