Ah, turns out that wasn't it after all. If I remove the image.onload section, then it works, although it never changes to the desired image after it loads. I guess it's coming back to the 'onload' function after Current has hit 5 and that's where it's bombing out. I'll have to search for dynamic image.onload functions. So far, I've been basing my code from this [Update] it is definately something to do with the image.onload event. I was able to finally step through the code and it does work fine, but it appears that after the function completes, it then goes off and works on the rest of the page before coming back to the code in the image.onload event. Then, it tries to execute those lines of code but fails because the image_Counter is now 5. I thought that the image.onload would be setting a new function for each image box, but instead it looks like that is not the case. The overall goal is to have a "loading" gif display as the thumbnails are loading, but then display the image once it is properly loaded. I can get it to work just fine with a single static image, but not programatically for each of the thumbnails. Does anyone have any recommendations to help point me in the right direction? Ah, after looking at this http://forums.asp.net/t/945348.aspx I did find that it's a drop down list control causing the error. The control appears to be alright, but because I'm adding option values using javascript that's what's causing the invalid argument error. I'm still curious if there's a way using the debugger I could have found out which "argument" or control post back was causing the error quicker. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! dang..it is calling the javascript but still issuing the post back to the server and throwing a validation error. I did view the source and I believe the problem lies in the fact that all of the buttons are of type "submit". Is there a way I can programatically change them to type="button" instead? I tried button.Attributes.Add("type", "button") but they are still ending up in the browser as type="submit". Doesn't make any sense. I've seen a ton of forums and articles now indicating that what you've suggested should just work. [UPDATE] It dawned on me that it was probably because I never changed the UseSubmitBehavior parameter on the button. If I change this to false, then the javascript fires without trying to submit, however it is still posting back and refreshing the page, causing my javascript changes to dissapear during the server's page load. We've a AS400 system where I work. Finding the correct "flavour" of the AS400/DB2 dlls to support the entity framework from IBM was unecessarily complicated for us. Eventually we had to get ALL versions sent to us and one poor soul in our department had to pick through the documentation to find which version we needed. It took him a week. Full time. Hi Luc, I was able to get this to work. Looking at the debugger again, the system see's the column name with double quotes. I was able to get it to find the record by using this search expression: DataRow[] rows = dt1.Select("[\"I$PN\"] = 'CA-106-77'"); Notice I changed the name to rows! Now I'm going to spend some time writing some try and catches just in the event there are no rows or multiple rows found. Thanks for all of your help and input!
