Just as a data point - I have not been experiencing these problems (and have been a member since 2002) & mostly use CP with IE11 on Windows 8.1 desktop. Good luck!

Well, at least the **** hit the fan. My comments on that thread are suddenly down voted :D. No other real contribution, no replies, just 1's. That's fine with me, only I think this proves my point. At work, if someone bombs/crash/dumps, the **** storm is immediate. Frankly, I think this is a good thing, we're arguing (and not pleasant) each other, but in the end the result is a better code. I suggest you look at the "Span & Abuse Watch" forum. It looks like a (now ex) member has been putting up articles, registering sockpuppet accounts and voting themselves up. Any criticism and he blitzed the voter from the multiple accounts. He even gained MVP status and won an article competition this way. The report as abuse/spam stuff works pretty well for spammers and trolls, but what happened here is a classic case of the law of unintended consequences. I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^] -Or- A Dead ringer for Kate Winslett[^]

Nothing happens, I think, if you name a computer NUL. The computer name and a reserved file name have nothing to do, nobody will try to call CreateFile passing a computer name as parameter. Anyway, try to create a user LPT1 - this one can be easily deleted.

Isn't it that feature of Pentium when it computes some instructions before it needs them? ;) ;) ;)
