Marc's complaint is only #2 on my facepalm list. #1 is the cheatsheet at the end. It says to use any of several specialist NoSQL databases if you're doing the workload they're hyper-optimized for. So far so good, if a little bit obvious. But for anything else use either a relational DB or a generalist NoSQL DB (document) which is an absolute give up for the one case where someone with a minimally functioning brain would need to consider what the best option for their workload is. :doh: Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason? I'm upgrading to 3.0 first, then immediately upgrading to 3.1. Several articles I read stated that the migration path is easier if going to 3.0 first (and getting all the hard work out the way) before upgrading to 3.1. Same. I've seen Rush 4 times including their amazing Time Machine tour. Always put on a brilliant show. There were always far more air drummers at Rush shows that air guitarists. The eulogies coming out from other musicians and drummers is a testament to how highly regarded Neil was amongst his peers. I'm more than prepared to move if I thought it was the right thing to do. Pushing my limits and setting myself challenges has defined my entire career. I even moved my family early on in my career to be nearer to a role. Normally I would have instinctively have made up my mind by now either way. This time the decision seems more difficult as the pros and cons are so evenly matched. Yes, I agree, to both your comments. But neither of them is contrary to what I said; they are orthogonal to what I said. Branding (and too-frequent rebrands) really do matter, really do annoy, and really do confuse. I am hardly the first to observe that Microsoft branding is a mess and has been for some time, especially but not exclusively with everything .NET-related. ".NET" (it's a framework but it's not quite .NET Framework) versus ".NET Core" versus ".NET Standard" (except when it's not really standard) versus ".NET Framework"...
