I am moving my application to the cloud, for my clients. There are only about 25 right now. Cost is a large consideration. Which one would you recommend. Also, what is all of this "pay as you go" stuff? Do they mean 24-7-365, or only the time the suer is logged in to the website?

Language?I get that. However when one is looking for a job like me, it is what the employers want. :sigh:
-
Language? Thanks. Good information. I appreciate it. My Branch was the Navy... Crossed the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean, but not my power lines. :-D

I wonder....Cool. Are you using any of the others?

How Old Is That Tyrannosaurus Rex?:) :-D  Rodney Dangerfield works best for me. We're a lot alike, but I get no respect only at home.

cats made us love them several thousand years before we ,,,Don't tell my wife that. She hates all cats generally. She would say they are the spawn of the devil and have NEVER been domesticated. Being incredibly superstitious, black cats make her crazy. I grew up with cats and can take them or leave them. Developers are like cats in that you can't heard them either. ;P

Dang! That makes me feel old ...I have a daughter who is a special child. She loves the Addams family and watches the show obsessively. It had the best musical intro of any show on TV, ever.

A new take on a classic formula...A Latte beats espresso every day of the week. I think espresso is not at all good. Many "Americanos" drink espresso. Now chocolate covered espresso beans beat espresso and Lattes all to hell and back. New Orleans "French Roast" (black) is a good compromise.

I need to upgrade my skillsI am trying to upgrade my skills. I would like opinions from you guys about which languages are in demand by employers. I have been part of the "evil empire" (Microsoft), since GW Basic was their first product. I am very good with Access, SQL, SQL Server but not really any others. I have a moderate acquaintance with C# and VB.Net. What other types of Software/Database skills do you think I need to learn that would help me find a job?

My doctor told me that jogging could add years to my life!Exercising does help my old bones, but every day is out of the question. It's supposed to make you feel younger, are you sure you aren't doing backwards? BTW getting up at 5:00 AM is the hardest part!

Sitting in the dentist, waiting for Herself's checkup...It is the same in the U.S. Also, the nurses in Manhattan (NY, not Kansas) are on strike. So, if you actually get admitted to one of those hospitals, you most probably die, since it is the nurses that keep you alive while you are being treated.

Interesting quote from quote of day website.I agree. In my experience, that quote, is absolutely true. Happy new year yawl.

30 years ago, Herself bought me an Armani watch for my birthday.Did Sgt. Pepper teach the band to play?

What does your home office/lab look like?It looks like a tornado hit it. I'm pretty messy. I've been in it 19 years now. I have a large "baker's rack", full of old, out of use equipment. Once amount I try to organize, file or shred all unnecessary paper. I have 2 desks, both with 40" monitors, desktop computers, and printers on them. Of course, I have trouble finding anything when I need it.

Happy birthday Charles Schultz! Are you German? They are wonderful people who are quite literal, for the most part. I heard Bob Newhart, an incredibly funny comedian, describe playing gigs in Germany to dead silence?

DeathI sincerely wish you continued success. You are the only person to reply with a serious answer to my question. I lost my father to lymphoma, so secondhand I know what you have been through.
