Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the fact that you're prepared to look around for a missing post on a site that I don't pay $$ to use. Well, to be honest - the day is absolutely gorgeous. For what it's worth, we're reported to be in for an absolute stinker this year. Last Chrissy never got all that hot, but this year we've got global climate patterns coming round to give us a touch-up. Just did some work on my youngest son's laptop. His hard disk is "fast", but it was so slow relative to my SSD I don't know why anyone botherss with spinning disks outside of big data storage.

Hmm. There's a lot of emotive verbiage on both sides of the case, but the idea that a company that makes a product is responsible if you misuse it or have an accident whilst using it is still a bad one. Imagine if that were applied to other products: -- Ford made the car which was capable of going up to speeds which could cause serious injury if hitting a concrete wall head on. -- Apple made a computer that can cause significant injury if someone is hit over the head with it. The "Oh, that poor old lady!" argument is not a good one for setting precedents, especially for a precedent that effectively makes the owner of every espresso machine (whether in a business or at home) liable for accidents that people have when drinking their coffee (espresso machines brew at 190-196F, and make far better coffee than the colder drip-through filter machines/cafetieres, etc). I was making a very unobvious reference to the Game Portal with the cube and the presence or absence of cake ;) I currently work in the Biotech industry and the majority of my colleagues are young women (trying not to to rub my knees a la Vic Reeves when I say that).
