I officially hate Softpedia. Scumbag pricks. I left two comments to that article, in the hope to join in on the conversation. Both of my comments were rejected. There was no swearing, no insulting words, nothing of the sort. Just an opinion. Apparently, insults are allows in their comments section, but opinions are not. Fuck Softpedia.

I had less issues with WindowsME than I've had with Windows 10. Windows 10 cost me tens of thousands of dollars in lost data due to a bug. I remember the issues I had with ME. But at-least it didn't destroy my data. You think I could get the issue resolved with MS support? Nope. They hire chimps from the Zoo.

That is pathetic. What's even more disgraceful is that Windows 10 Pro is $300 - $130 more than what I paid for genuine Windows 8.1 Pro and has less features AND has more bugs. I think I'm done with Microsoft and their shit products.

This is my favorite, and it isn't even limited to work either. It actually reminds me of politicians. They like to say "we" a lot, as if they know what half the country has been through - yet they're the ones with fancy vacations and big houses, etc. Lol.

We do need some templates. Although i am not so sure i would use them anyway. If past experiences with code on MSDN have taught me anything, its that Microsoft's code is usually very messy. And although XAML is great, its also naturally very messy. Im not so sure I would enjoy fixing up more mess. I think I'd rather spend timethe to learn it myself.

Just incase a potential employer runs into this thread, I'd just like to say that, I really don't mind writing reports (as a part of my job - within your organization). ;P

Hey guys, I agree that it would have been better posted as a Tip, and I did try, but all of the Tip categories revolve around specific development things, and I didn't wanna post it in the wrong section. So that's why I just posted it in a general chat area (the lounge). Good point I guess. Only reason I posted it here was because I originally found out that Win 10 Tech Preview Build 10049 was available on this website in an article/news thing. I then came back here when I ran into issues (after searching) to see if someone left comments to that post describing any issues they had or if there was a fix, since no other site seems to have a fix for it, so I thought I might as well post the solution where I found the article.

As you may have already heard, Windows 10 Technical Preview, Build 10049 is out for Windows Insiders subscribed to the Fast Ring. I've been battling this for a few hours and have a problem and a solution to share with you all: ```text There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help - (0x8024402f). ``` This, for me, was due to a timeout occurring while Windows Update tried to install a Realtek driver. To fix this, we need to use Group Policy Edit. Follow the instructions below to solve this error (this solution may not apply to you, even if you receive the same error message): Run GPEdit as Admin: - Open Start, type gpedit.msc, right-click it and click Run as Administrator; - Click the Computer Configuration node in the far-left pane; - Expand the Administrative Templates node; - Expand the System node; - Click the Device Installation node; - In the right pane, double-click the 'Configure device installation time-out' list item; - In the Configure Device Installation Time-out dialog, click the 'Enabled' radio button, and enter a higher value, such as '2000' for the Device Installation Time-out field; - Click Apply, then OK. So I enrolled in a Bach. Sys Admin last year and it didn't work out very well. The College was just screwed up. I've been doing a Diploma in IT (Web Dev) elsewhere since and everything's going really well. However... Have you noticed how everything you do at College or UNI now is all about reports? Like... Everytime you have to do something, you gotta write a report first! That's so annoying! I self-taught myself programming when I was 17. And I've been building lots of things for myself ever since. So when I sign up for a course, I just want the paper to say that "Yeah he can do it". But no... They have to chuck in all of this other crap like writing Analysis' and Reports and other arbitrary junk that you can't even find any info about online. No wonder this world is so screwed up! You can't ever get anything done anymore because we're all too busy writing freaking reports about what we're about to do! You wanna build a database? Write a report first! You wanna create a website? Write a report first! You wanna eat dinner??? WRITE A REPORT! ...first. Oh, what's that Evil Iceblock? You wanna take a dump? NUP, SORRY! YOU GOTTA WRITE A REPORT ON THAT FIRST! SCREW YOU AND YOUR REPORTS!

Lol, that thought did cross my mind, but I think I was a bit too angry at the time to be that playful. Looking back at it now though, I would've had fun doing that!
