Have you estimated what the code would be worth to one of your competitors ? Once you let your source code out into the wild, that's it .. even with good intentions & contracts, can they keep it secure etc ?? I think if you were going to let them have source, you'd have to charge more than just the license cost, just to protect you against the possible damage of it 'running free'

Hopefully it won't be that bad - I got made redundant twice in Q1 2020 - bleh .. still looking for 'the right job' ... playing more with iOT/Robotics at the moment, learning Rust, more Go

That's a bit bizarre - mind you, I see a lot of iOT work at the moment and I shudder when they use a serial port GPS integration rather than I2C or SPI. I'll be learning 'ROS' soon, I missed a really nice job in Ag-Tech here because I wasn't prepared to lie on my CV - that being said, yes, it's not an O/S, and I do know messaging, so I could have bluffed my way through mqtt etc Pretty cool that you write drivers for ESP32 - a level way above me

I've been looking at Dell or Lenovo's 'portable workstations' - I suspect similar to 'foldable desktop' :-)

Microsoft are 'replacing' my Surface Pro 3 .. the batteries heated up and expanded and pushed the bottom cover off the keyboard (no screws, just glued) - apparently it's a 'known issue' (that they failed to notify me about before the extended warrantee/fix period expired) It's a good machine in a lot of respects - so right now whether it's a 'safety' issue or not, it runs VS2019, WSL etc, and I need it for some contracting .. not sure if I'd make the same decision again though, similarly, finding a Dell or Lenovo I'd like is hard

on the first pass through I thought you were being a bit harsh, thinking that the API's free offerings might have been a number of transactions per day or such .. so I checked out the API, and it's certainly limited in it's 'free' provision
