Not a company slogan, but a bumper sticker. "Ponder, Texas. Think about it." Ponder is a small town outside Denton, Tx.

Local printers in Windows 2000Thanks. That helped me find the problem. Someone had put Authenticated Users in the Power Users group, which meant that anyone could add a local printer.

Local printers in Windows 2000Is there any way to keep non admin users from installing local printers in Windows 2000? Greg

It's About Time...I'm not real fond of the new songs either. I saw them Sunday night in OKC and I've got to say that their live show rocks.

A Message From TexasYou're right. Didn't mean to imply that it did. Richard Stringer wrote: I do believe that one can disagree with my outlook and still be friends I agree 100%.
-
A Message From TexasWilly's ok but I don't know about claiming the Dixie Chicks. We can claim Ted Nugent. That's more my style.

A Message From TexasNo fireworks? That sucks. Are they afraid that you'll burn the desert down? Last time I checked, the only thing that I couldn't get here (north Texas) was bottle rockets. I can buy 20 other things to shoot into the air, but no bottle rockets.

A Message From TexasI could do without most of the crap coming out of Hollywood these days. I don't think I'd ever miss it. Just leave me my connection to CP and I'll be ok. BTW, did you know the Texas has it's own version of a 'dirty' bomb? Yep, that's right. Stick a M-80 in a cow patty and you're ready to go. The fresher the patty, the dirtier the bomb.

Wells Fargo ScamI hope they catch these people, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I think I got everyone in the family notified. I could see my dad or my wife falling for this and I've talked to them. We should be ok.

Wells Fargo ScamYep. That's where I got the url. Here's the whole thing: http://www.wellsfargo.com/verify/
After I talked to the bank, I just let it lie. I may not post much, but I lurk enough to know better. ;) It's amazing what you can learn around this place. Greg

A Simple Life"It's not having what you want It's wanting what you've got" Sheryl Crow, Soak Up the Sun. You'll never be happy until you follow your heart and dreams. It's your life. Live it how you want to. Don't worry about those who call you crazy. They're too busy living someone else's life. I know that it's easier to say than to do, but it's what I believe. I met a man one time who had given up a top corporate job to become a river guide. He went from making who knows how much to living out of his van. You could tell he was happy with his decision from the way he acted and talked. I wonder how many people have the guts to do something like that? I'd wager that there aren't many. Greg

Other countriesSorry it took so long to reply. I got called out of town suddenly. Everything is fine though. Daytona - bike week. Between the bikes and bikinis it couldn't be bad. Sturgis is in South Dakota. They have a week where bikers take over the town. http://www.sturgis-rally.com/[^]

Other countriesCompared to Wichita Falls, it's a big city.:) So what do you consider the "big city"?
-
Other countriesI hear you. The only thing that I don't like is that, at this point in my life, I'm limited to a week or so at each place. Not long enough to really get into it.
-
Other countriesYeah, I want to see the world. I got to go to London last spring and it was a real eye opener. Made me want to see a lot more of the world. Here is my list so far: Spain, Italy, Greece, Australia, France, Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand, Germany, Daytona, Sturgis, Mount Rushmore, Niagara Falls, Aztec ruins. There was an article about South Africa in my local Sunday paper and between that and the talk here on CP I'll be adding it to my list. Some will be easier than others but I'm going to try to get to them all. Paul Watson wrote: Are you happy in Hickville It's not that bad. My family is here and it's cheap. I'm only a couple hours away from Dallas/Fort Worth so I can get a taste of the big city when I want to. The only thing I really don't like about the big cities is the traffic. X|

What is a restaurant? There are a few supermarkets in my part of the world (small town Texas) that you can buy peri peri. I haven't been brave enough to try any of it though. One of these days...
