I'm just over half your age and I get the odd nose hair that brings a tear to my eyes or sneeze my head off.

Hi all I have gone and created my own default control templates for a whole host of controls for example a nice rounded corner button and the different states for mouse hover and the like. The next control that I want to do this for is a data grid. I want to create my data grid with rounded corners and the same colour scheme so that it ties in with everything else. I started to play around with the control templates for DataGrid’s and got the rounded corners that I want but then I lost all the content of the grid. Even though I have the ContentPresenter there but still no luck so I must be doing something wrong. I’ve tried looking for an example of a control template for a DataGrid but haven’t been able to find what i’m doing wrong. I am wondering if anyone on here could shed some light. Below is the XAML from the resource dictionary that I am using so far. <Setter Property="OverridesDefaultStyle" Value="False" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type DataGrid}"> <Border Name="Border" CornerRadius="15" Margin="5" BorderBrush="{StaticResource StandardBorderBrush}" BorderThickness="2"> <ContentPresenter /> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> Some people are like slinky's... Hi I've been doing WPF for a while now and am unsure of the best way to approach something so am asking here to see if you guys can help. Basically I want to use a WPF frame to display multiple pages in one window. However I want to edit the existing frame somewhat. I know there is a Back and Forward button that can be used with the frame, however I would like some more functionality, like for example a Home button. So to my question whould it be best to: Create a custom control/ user control using the frame for the basica navigation for back & forward Or Edit the exisiting Frame template and add the extra button creating my own styles for all the buttons Back/Forward and Home. (if possible) Or Use a frame with out the header and then create seperate buttons on the screen that hock into the navigation of the Frame to do back and forward. Thank you in advance for you advice on this matter. Gretna

Cheers for your reply. It didn't seem to work still but I have had an epiphany and manage to solve it thanks again for the help. It was because the content of some of my items on my second form was using static resource so on close of the second window I set the content to null. Gretna.

Hi its been a while since I've had a problem, but this has stumped me. I have a start-up screen which has three button on it and one of these opens another WPF window. I would like the window that opens to be able to be closed and re-opened if the button on the start screen is pressed again. However it seems to be crashing and the error I get is: Cannot convert the value in attribute 'Content' to object of type 'System.Object'. Specified element is already the logical child of another element. Disconnect it first. Error at object 'System.Windows.Controls.ContentControl' in markup file 'VisualEditor;component/designer.xaml' Line 28 Position 46. Any help is much appreciated. Gretna

Yeah I was planning too but my dad told me to read Hunt for Red October first and I've just bought Red Storm Rising which is the first I think but I will be in order. Still brilliant books though.

Are there any issues with using a WPF Browser Application with WCF as I was reading something about issues with WSDualHttpBinding. If this is the case is the best way around it to have use BasicHttpBinding or WSHttpBinding and don't use callbacks. Cheers for your view / help with this.

I won't I'm only going for city buildings/skylines and to see how creative I can get.
