Just use GoDaddy.com. They have some annoying add-on stuff when you checkout, but the interface is good and renewals are painless.

  • Hosting Advice - Domain Registration & Option To Run ASP.NET Sites
    G GrinderDev

I totally agree with the statement about not registering your domain name with the hosting company. I've had two customers have big problems trying to get the domain name back when they went under. I use WebHost4Life's Semi-Dedi service and it has been excellent. I run of mix of ASP.NET AND PHP apps without any problems.

I hope so. Flash does some cool stuff, but I hate working with ActionScript.

If we would just invade Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela the USA would have plenty of resources and we can tell the rest of the liberal world to pound sand.

    G GrinderDev

I find the topic very interesting. Coming from other forums that were nearly 100% for global warming and if we don't do anything the world will destruct tomorrow attitude, I find fat_boy's posts rather refreshing. Every forum has a large signal to noise ratio. It's up to all of us to determine the amplitude of that signal.

I actually enjoy his posts. Anyone who can question the science, or lack thereof, is OK in my book. I tend to ignore science that is presented by politicians and data that is masaged by liberal figure heads before it is released. The whole Global Warming(from human activity) is going to ruin the world is perhaps the biggest scam I've ever seen.

I've seen this coming for a long time. I recently moved from a major east coast city to the mid-west and it is nice to live in an area where housing prices are in-line with the rest of the economics.

  • WinForms vs. WPF for enterprise development

Keep the business logic and code separate from the UI and either direction would be just fine. I'm going with WinForms for now, simply due to the component market being pretty minimal at this point for WPF.
