This is not a SharePoint problem...but you may want to try re-installing .Net Google the error message

I am really not sure what you're asking here but I will take a stab at what I think it is. Create a stored procedure on you "external" non SPS db I suspect and either run embed it in the page or a web part. I need more specific requirements if that doesnt suffice.

cosign has a decent tool

uh no....

What type of authentication are you using? I think the ISUR account may need persmissions to your IIS virtual directory. I had a similar issue and it was resolved by added the ISUR specific permissions @ the folder level in IIS web application virtual directory. I hope this helps.

Need more info: What does you farm look like? Are your service accounts configured properly? How are the rescources on the SQL and Web boxes while you do this? What erorrs are in your event logs? Does the process time or just take a long time? Can you see anything in IIS?

It depends what version youre on if it's MOSS 2007. Then the 1. SSP database will hold user meta data 2. Serach dbs obviously hold your indexes 3. Content databases hold the content (data) 4. Config DB hold portal config I dont understand your 2nd question? You use the configuration wizard to connect to a database or if SPS is already installed and running you can attach a new or additional content database. Regards, Dennis

Why dont you look in add\remove programs? Or the Central Admin

What Type of document are you trying to "publish"? It shouldn't be a problem

And the question is?

Regardless you need to initiate the email once it's approved. try downloading SPD it's free it has a simple Workflow Designer that allows you to add tasks on actions. I would send the email on the approval action. I hope that helps.
Regards, Hulicat
Can you list the tasks that you see in SharePoint Designer? The email task should be upon check in only I presume?

"same possibilities like share point." "open and save documenets" Please elaborate a bit....A file share can do that. Do mean document versioning?, meta data, work flow, etc.

Not to my knowledge; it's one of the caveats of using "merge" replication.
Regards, Hulicat
What version of SharePoint are you using? A blog is out of the box functionality; A blog site is an OOB site template. The data is stored in the content database; there is no need to create anything.
Regards, Hulicat
You need to use "merge" if either database can be updated,

I dont think you stated your issue well enough to get a response. Please explain in specific detail and provide the version and edition of SPS you're using.

I had the same scenario and ended up using transactional replication @ 2 hour intervals. I was going @ 15 minute intervals with no issues but I wanted to have some latency in the event the source DB has some problems it gives me time to shut down the replication. I didn’t use merge because if one DB gets hosed or corrupted they both get hosed. I hope that helps.

If you're going to be updating a doc library or list than there is a SPS environment available to you? Can't you or someone else copy the DLL?
